Layouts and themes
List, magazine and cards views, the reading pane beside the list or an article on its own, Zen for reading without the chrome, and light, dark and own themes.
Views
The top bar's layout menu switches how the list is drawn:
- List view: one line per entry, the most per screen.
- Magazine view: the title, a summary and a picture per entry.
- Cards view: a grid of cards with the picture first.
The choice is remembered per feed and per category.
Where an article opens
The same menu sets the reading pane. No split opens an article on its own page; Right of feeds opens it beside the list, so the list stays in view; Expanded gives the article the whole width. Zen hides the sidebar and the chrome for reading alone; it is a reading-pane choice like the others, so the reader comes back to the previous one when you leave it.
On an article page, ← and → move to the previous and next entry of the list.
Themes
Settings → Appearance has the mode (Light, Dark, or System, which follows the operating system) and the themes. Each built-in theme comes in a light and a dark variant; the rail's sun and moon button flips between them without opening Settings. Your themes holds themes you make in the editor from any built-in one: colours, the accent, the surfaces, with a live preview.
Themes and views are part of the reader's settings, so they follow you to another browser through settings sync.
