Create an account
Sign up with an email address, confirm it from the link you receive, and log in. What to do when the link does not arrive or the password is lost.
A MicroRSS account is an email address and a password. The account is free; the plans page says what it includes.
- Open Sign up and enter your email address and a password.
- MicroRSS sends a confirmation link to that address. The link is good for 24 hours.
- Open the link. It confirms the address and logs you in, so you land in the reader straight away.
Until the address is confirmed, logging in answers that the account is unverified. The login page offers to send the link again; a new one can be requested once a minute.
The login page has two ways in. MicroRSS account is the one you created above. Miniflux server is for reading an existing Miniflux installation through this interface, with its address and an API token; it is a different thing and needs no MicroRSS account.
Sessions last 90 days. Logging out ends the session on that browser only.
Forgotten password
Open Forgot password and enter the address. If an account with that address exists, a reset link arrives; it is good for one hour. Setting a new password signs out every other browser, so a session someone else had is gone. API keys are kept.
The page answers the same way whether or not the address has an account, so it cannot be used to find out who is registered.
Changing the password
Settings → Account has Change password; it asks for the current password first and keeps the session you are in. The same section shows the address and the plan, and holds Delete account.
