RSS feed for a Firefox add-on's versions

The add-ons site lists an extension's versions on a page but offers no feed for them. MicroRSS reads Mozilla's add-ons API, the same data, and gives you an entry per version.

Paste the add-on's page from addons.mozilla.org, in any language and for Firefox or Firefox for Android, into Add Feed.

What you get

  • One entry per version with the release notes as the developer wrote them
  • Compatibility (Firefox, Android), license and a link to the xpi with its size
  • The 25 newest versions on the first add, then every new one
  • The add-on's icon as the feed icon

How to add it

  1. 1
    Copy the link

Open the Firefox Add-ons page you want to follow in your browser and copy its address.

  2. 2
    Paste it into Add Feed

MicroRSS recognises the link and offers the feed; nothing else to fill in.

  3. 3
    Read

New entries arrive on the feed's schedule, with the rest of your subscriptions.

Links that work

  • https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/ an add-on page

Questions

Does addons.mozilla.org have RSS?
For collections and for the featured lists, not for one add-on's versions. MicroRSS reads the add-ons API for that.
Does it work for Chrome extensions?
No. The Chrome Web Store has no public API for versions.
